Symetrix Cognio Platform Wins Four Awards at InfoComm 2026
The Cognio audio, video and control platform won four industry awards at InfoComm 2026, including Best of Show from AVTechnology.
Symetrix has announced that its Cognio platform received four awards during InfoComm 2026:
- Future’s Best of Show Award from AVTechnology
- Most Innovative Emerging Technology in the SCN Installation Product Awards
- Best-in-Class Control System in HETMA’s Higher Ed AV Awards
- A Gold Higher Ed AV Award for Best Use of Emerging Technology
What is Cognio?
As Symetrix describes it, Cognio is built on a distributed, software-defined architecture that spreads processing and control across the whole system instead of relying on a single central processor. According to the manufacturer, this approach allows a system to expand across multiple spaces without costly infrastructure replacement.
The platform components named in the announcement are the C100 server, the C20 and C10 processors, the TC-series touchscreens and the DesignOps software.
Symetrix also highlighted the first deployment of Cognio at Monash University in Australia, for active learning spaces.
